Saxon, Skid Row, Motörhead and more: CDs get new editions in Brazil.

New releases are the result of a partnership between Wikimetal and Oporto da Música.

The partnership between Wikimetal and Oporto da Música is bringing a variety of classic rock and metal albums to the Brazilian market every month, albums that were previously unavailable on CD or difficult to find in the country, many of them in special edition slipcases. See below the new releases already available in major stores and online at the Wikimetal Store :

Saxon

Released in 1979, Saxon is the group's first work and was recorded at Livingston Recording Studios in London. The fourth album , Denim and Leather (1981), was the last with the classic lineup, as drummer Pete Gill left the band due to a hand injury, later joining Motörhead . The successor, Power & the Glory (1983), is the first album with drummer Nigel Glockler and one of the first power metal albums with lyrics related to war and battles.

Skid Row

Slave to the Grind (1991), Skid Row's second project, was the first heavy metal album to reach the top of the Billboard 200.

Overkill

The release of I Hear Black marked a transitional phase for Overkill, introducing drummer Tim Mallare . The album highlights a shift towards a more groove metal style, heavily influenced by Black Sabbath.

Damageplan

New Found Power is the only album released by Damageplan, featuring guest appearances by vocalist Corey Taylor and guitarists Jerry Cantrell and Zakk Wylde Dimebag Darrell 's last studio recording before his murder in 2004.

Immolation

Immolation was formed after the end of the group Rigor Mortis in 1986, composed of Andrew Sakowicz (bass, vocals), Dave Wilkinson (drums) and Robert Vigna (guitar). After Sakowicz was replaced by Ross Dolan in 1988, the band released their first album, Dawn Of Possession .

Motörhead

Motörhead's twelfth album, Sacrifice , is notable for being the second and final one with the lineup consisting of Lemmy, Phil Campbell, Würzel , and Mikkey Dee.

Uriah Heep

Demons and Wizards is Uriah Heep's fourth project, released in 1972. During the American tour, New Zealander Gary Thain and drummer Lee Kerslake became permanent members of the group.

Flotsam and Jetsam

Although they lost their main songwriter Jason Newsted to Metallica, Arizona thrashers Flotsam & Jetsam avoided the sophomore slump with No Place for Disgrace .
