Saxon 's return to Brazil has finally been confirmed. The heavy metal band will play four shows in the country in November 2023, as part of the Seize The Day World Tour, months after the cancellation of their show at Monsters of Rock .
Saxon's performances in Brazil will take place in Curitiba, São Paulo, Belo Horizonte, and Brasília, before heading to other Latin American countries with shows in Argentina, Colombia, Chile, and Mexico, featuring hits from their nearly 50-year career. The production is by Toplink Music .
In Curitiba, Saxon will perform on the 14th at Ópera de Arame, with tickets starting at R$130 (available at Bilheto ); followed by São Paulo at Tokio Marine Hall on November 15th (pre-sale at Eventim ); Belo Horizonte will host the band on the 17th at Mister Rock, starting at R$140 (at Clube do Ingresso ); Brasília will close the Brazilian tour on the 18th at Toinha Brasil, with tickets starting at R$140 (sales through the official website ).
In March of this year, Saxon announced the departure of Paul Quinn, the band's original guitarist, and canceled all commitments in South America. "After many years on the road, with the stress and fatigue that accompany long touring schedules, Paul doesn't want his performance to suffer and disappoint his bandmates and fans," they explained in a statement.
As a result, Saxon's shows at the Monsters of Rock in Brazil and Colombia were cancelled. The band was replaced by Candlemass and Angra , respectively.
