Satriani says he tried to bring his bandmates together.
In an interview on Eddie Trunk's radio show, guitarist Joe Satriani completely refuted the possibility of a new Chickenfoot album being released.
The band, also formed by Sammy Hagar, Michael Anthony, and Chad Smith, released their last album in 2011. According to Satriani, he himself was the member who most insisted on the band reuniting, but conflicting schedules get in the way. "I think Chickenfoot has given all it had to give. Recording a new album lately has been impossible. Everyone kind of wants to, but our schedules conspire against us."
The guitarist also shared that he should look for new bandmates for collaborative work: “I miss working collaboratively. And if that's not going to happen and I would love to continue, maybe I should find other people. It's sad.”
Last year, Hagar even told Rolling Stone that working with Chickenfoot wasn't worth it: “We wrote and recorded for six months. It's a lot of work and in the end we didn't sell many albums, it's disappointing. And I don't like being disappointed, I like to win .
