In an interview with Ibagenscast , vocalist Diva Satanica spoke for the first time in more detail about her departure from Nervosa .

The singer left the band in January citing "lack of agreement between both parties." Recently, she was announced as the vocalist for the new group How We End , which also includes former members of Evanescence and Amaranthe .

For Ibagenscast , Diva Satanica gave details about her decision and cited a feeling of lack of recognition and understanding with Nervosa's co-founder, Prika Amaral , as well as an intense touring schedule that didn't leave much room for rest.

“To sum it up, my desire to leave was simply because I couldn’t reach an understanding with Prika regarding the band’s future plans,” he says. “Many times before Eleni [ Nota , drummer] left, we talked about whether or not to accept a tour… How to avoid playing for five months straight, which is what we did. We toured Europe and then stayed, I don’t know, three days at our houses and went to the United States. It was great, I really enjoyed doing all of that, but we couldn’t decide anything. It was like [receiving the news] directly: ‘These are the plans. We’re going to do this.’”

Regarding the matter, Diva Satanica says she understands the need to showcase the new lineup and prove they could tour, but implies that the group's work pace was very intense. The singer especially praised the performance of drummer Eleni Nota, who left Nervosa in September to focus on her own health. During the conversation, she also spoke more about the drummer's departure.

“We worked really hard to prove that we could do [the tour]. And in the end, there wasn’t that feeling of recognition,” she laments. “Eleni said she couldn’t continue with this work pace, and instead of offering a solution, Prika called Nanu to replace her in the second part of the European tour. And she did it directly, without anyone having any idea. That was something I didn’t quite understand. It could have been Eleni, or it could have been me.”

“I started to realize that we weren’t really part of the band. We were musicians helping the band to tour and record albums, but we didn’t have the recognition of being part of the project,” he concludes.

Despite the disagreements, Diva Satanica clarifies: “Prika is a wonderful person, I have nothing bad to say about her. She was someone who helped me a lot, who gave me a unique opportunity that I will never forget. But she is very used to working alone. So when she makes a plan about how she wants to work, she is not very clear about how she wants to do it. And that's when the problems happen.”

Diva Satânica concludes by clarifying that the main reason for her decision to leave Nervosa was the need to have time to do other things and see her family. "I like touring, I love touring, but I think there will be a balance," she concludes.
