That's right, you read it correctly: Santa Marcelina College has announced a postgraduate course for those who want to specialize in rock music, with the first class starting in March of this year.
A pioneer and unique course in the country, it boasts a faculty specialized in the musical genre and applies international academic research. Students will benefit from experts, masters, and PhDs who are prominent figures in the music industry, such as André Martins, Heraldo Paarmann, Rodrigo Bragança, Walter Nery, and others.
“Beyond the knowledge generated, specialization in Rock is an opportunity for graduates to work in various areas of the market. The postgraduate program provides knowledge for solo musicians, band members, or studio musicians, music, artistic or executive producers, private tutors, instructors for free courses, technical courses, undergraduate and postgraduate programs, music critics, and also for those seeking an academic career,” says Ciro Visconti , coordinator of the Postgraduate Program in Rock: Theory, History and Practice at Faculdade Santa Marcelina.
With registration open until March 1st, the classes are divided into six modalities: performance, composition, production (musical, artistic and/or executive), history and research, and other social sciences.
