Sammy Hagar revealed in an interview with the Miami Herald that he no longer wants to tour.
The vocalist is set to begin a residency in Las Vegas in April and states that if he "enjoys it enough," he will continue with them, hoping they will be a good "extension" for his career.
“I keep telling my manager, ‘Don’t take me on any tours, let me do this residency.’ If I like it enough, I’ll do another one. And if it’s successful, I’ll do another one,” Hagar comments.
What made him want to say goodbye to touring were the complications that came with traveling, stating that with residencies he wouldn't have to "pack and unpack his bags and get on a plane every day." He also says that, at his age, "it hurts his shoulders to do all that" and that, added to the performances, it's not worth it.
