Former Van Halen members Sammy Hagar and Michael Anthony have launched a social media page called Van Hagar to celebrate vocalist Sammy Hagar's era with the band.
Friends and colleagues from The Circle, the duo said they've been "unearthing some cool stuff" and now want to share this material with fans. According to Anthony, the page is intended to satisfy the fans' desire for material from Hagar's time in Van Halen. "We found some things you've never seen before and some things you've seen decades ago, so we're going to put it all together here and see what happens."
Hagar replaced David Lee Roth in Van Halen in 1985 and recorded four studio albums with the group: 5150, OU812, For Unlawful Carnal Knowledge , and Balance . Anthony, on the other hand, was the bassist and backing vocalist for the group between 1974 and 2006, being replaced by Wolfgang Van Halen Eddie 's son .
