Abbath: Bassist Mia Wallace reveals she was "forced out" of the band.

"The explanation didn't make sense and I was very confused."

Mia Wallace , bassist for Triumph Of Death and Niryth , has announced her departure from Abbath , the band named after the former Immortal vocalist.

The news was revealed in a statement on the singer's Facebook page, saying she was "forced to leave Abbath." "It was a challenging but exciting time and I'm proud of my contribution to the Outstrider , the shows, the 'Harvest Pyre' and 'Hecate' videos, and promoting the band in general."

She continues: “For me, being part of Abbath was a dream come true, and I can honestly say that I was loyal to the team and to Abbath himself. Everyone could see that at the Argentina show where I was on stage until the end. I didn't always agree with the other members of the group, and I gave my honest opinion without anger or negative intent. Unfortunately, not everyone can accept that.”

Wallace still laments that none of her former bandmates contacted her and revealed that she was fired over the phone. Abbath's manager called her and said she was "no longer needed." She also says he asked her not to contact anyone in the band. "The explanation for this request didn't make sense and I was very confused," she said.

However, even with the sudden end of her collaboration with Abbath, Mia says she is grateful for the opportunity Abbath gave her and that she will always admire him as an artist. "I also wish him all the best." See the full post below.
