Sabaton has just released the powerful single “Templars,” which serves as the first preview of the band's upcoming album. Although still without a title or official release date, it is expected to arrive sometime in 2025. The release also marks the beginning of their partnership with the new label Better Noise Music , home to big names in current rock.

The track received a cinematic music video, filmed in two historic Serbian fortresses: Belgrade Fortress and Smederevo Fortress. In the video, the members of Sabaton portray Templar knights in their last stand against persecution by the French crown.

“This was the first song we wrote for the album, and it inspired us right away. From the beginning, we knew we didn't just want to play it; on the contrary, we wanted to present it as a true visual spectacle,” commented Pär Sundström , bassist and manager of the band.

In addition to the digital release, the track will be available in a limited edition 12″ vinyl, with only 1,000 copies worldwide, scheduled for June 27th.

The video tells the fictional story of the Templars' last confrontation, with battles choreographed by historical reenactment experts. The climax features Thobbe Englund , returning to the band after almost eight years, as the last surviving warrior. Battling a fever and clad in 40 kg of armor, the guitarist tackled the final scenes with total commitment.

The new album will be the 11th in Sabaton's career, whose discography includes gold, platinum, and even quadruple platinum records. The group also announced the European tour "The Legendary Tour ," with a live orchestra, scheduled for November.
