Sabaton released their new single “Crossing The Rubicon” this Friday, the 12th, featuring vocalist Jonny Hawkins and guitarist Mark Vollelunga from Nothing More. The track is part of the Swedish band's 11th studio album, Legends , scheduled for release on October 17th by Better Noise Music – the band's first album on the label.
In a press release, vocalist Joakim Brodén commented:
“Working with our American brothers from Nothing More on our new single 'Crossing The Rubicon' was an absolute pleasure. When we shared the song with them, they really liked it and were genuinely excited about the collaboration, which made us very excited. There’s something powerful about uniting two worlds in music.”
Guest vocalist Jonny Hawkins added: “This song awakens that old warrior spirit in me and makes me want to ride straight to the gates of hell. I’m proud to be a part of this with such an incredible band as Sabaton.”
New album Legends
As the title itself suggests, Legends blends rock and history for listeners of all ages. The album delves into the lives of some of humanity's most iconic figures, such as Joan of Arc, Napoleon Bonaparte, Julius Caesar , and the Japanese sword master Miyamoto Musashi .
This is the first time all the band members have come together to contribute to the songwriting process. This is SABATON as you've never heard them before: relentless and uninhibited.
Legends is a global journey through the annals of war, leadership, and unwavering will.
