Two years after the release of the concept album The Great War , Sabaton announced that their new album will be called The War To End All Wars .
In a video statement on YouTube, the band revealed the cover art and stated that they intend to revisit the theme of World War I, addressed in their previous album, justifying that this period of humanity has "many stories to be told." "For almost two decades, we have sung about historical battles and wars around the world," a voice narrates in the video. "We believe there is more to be discovered about this particular moment in history. There are still many stories from the First World War that need to be told. In time, we will hear them all."
In an interview with The Metal Voice , vocalist Joakim Brodén spoke about the creative process behind the new album and described it as "the first time in history" that all the band members, individually, were immediately happy with the result.
“Everyone is very happy with the production. We’ve always been happy before, but there was always room for some opinion. This time it was more like, ‘Sure, we have some suggestions and ideas, but wow.’ We’re very happy with the sound,” he assured. There are still no details about a possible release date for the new album.
