Rush confirms a special 40th anniversary edition of the album Permanent Waves , to be released on May 29th.

The relaunch will feature various products, such as deluxe with double CDs and triple CDs, as well as a super deluxe containing a hardcover book with over 40 pages.

deluxe edition packages will contain the original CD of the remastered 2015 album, plus eleven unreleased tracks recorded live on the Permanent Waves , and a 20-page book with previously unreleased photos and a re-edition of a drawing by Rush collaborator Hugh Syme. The disc and digital versions contain a bonus live song titled “A Passage to Bangkok”.

The super deluxe includes CDs, vinyl (along with the bonus track “A Passage to Bangkok”), and an expanded book with a 12,000-word essay. Other extras include a 20-page notepad using the letterhead of Le Studio de Quebec , where the album was recorded; a double-sided poster; and handwritten lyrics for three songs (“The Spirit of Radio,” “Entre Nous,” and “Natural Science”) by drummer Neil Peart, who passed away this year, among other items.
