Members say there is no rush to make a decision.
During an interview at the SiriusXM studio, Rush members Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson said that the band's future is uncertain. Lee commented that "for now, it doesn't seem possible to do another tour .
The lead singer and bassist said the band couldn't reach an agreement on new shows. According to him, there haven't been any discussions since the end of their last tour, R40 , which resulted in a concert film celebrating the band's 40-year career.
“My life is simpler than my colleagues’. Neil (Peart) has a complicated life, he has a family with a young daughter, he feels pain leaving them. I understand that. And he has physical issues too, after playing like a monster for 3 hours, the body doesn’t cooperate. Sometimes I see him backstage during the tour and he’s really suffering.”.
Alex Lifeson agreed with Lee, but said he was feeling very good personally: "Like Ged said, we need to stop for a while, to think and figure out where we're going."
Lee says the band is not rushing to reach an agreement.
