Fans attending Rush's reunion tour should arrive early at the venue. The show doesn't just begin when Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson appear on stage. Before the first song, the band will screen a short film of about ten minutes with references to their history, special appearances, and jokes that help contextualize the group's return after 11 years.
As reported by Ultimate Classic Rock, many spectators were caught by surprise on the opening night of the Fifty Something last Sunday, the 7th, at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles. The expectation was that the show would start at 8 pm, but the introductory video began around 7:35 pm.
The short film follows three young people exploring a haunted castle in search of Rush, guided by Gershon, a character played by Geddy Lee. Along the way, there are several homages to the band's universe, including references to the album Fly By Night. There are also appearances by Jason Segel and Paul Rudd reprising their Rush-fan characters from I Love You, Man , and a humorous cameo by the South Park. The film ends with a retrospective of the band's career, preparing the audience for the triumphant entrance of Geddy Lee, Alex Lifeson, and Anika Nilles.

Rush will also be touring Brazil with tour Fifty Somethingreunion in January and February 2027.
The band will be performing in Curitiba (Arena da Baixada, January 22nd), São Paulo (Allianz Parque, January 24th and 26th), Rio de Janeiro (Estádio Nilton Santos, January 30th), Belo Horizonte (Estádio Mineirão, February 1st), and Brasília (Arena BRB Mané Garrincha, February 4th).
