Rush says he'll never do anything without one of the three classic members.

According to Rolling Stone, in Rush's new documentary film "Rush: Time Stand Still," the band makes several statements about their last tour, most likely the last major tour in the trio's history.

Rolling Stone reports that during the film, the band makes it clear that there will never be a tour without one of the three current members. Guitarist Alex Lifeson commented: “It’s not like you just get new members and that’s it. Rush has never been a band like that. We would never, ever do something like that .” Geddy Lee added: “We’ve always said that if one of the three of us doesn’t agree, we don’t do anything. There have been situations in our career where the three of us couldn’t agree and so we didn’t do it. So if one guy doesn’t want to do something I love to do anymore, it hurts. But there’s nothing I can do and that’s part of our agreement.”

Rolling Stone says the film made it clear that Rush is unlikely to tour again, with Alex Lifeson and Neil Peart giving several testimonials throughout the film pointing in that direction.
