Legendary Rush drummer Neil Peart was recently honored with a pavilion named after him in the region where he grew up, in Port Dalhousie, a community in St. Catharines, Ontario, Canada.
The decision came after a public vote and by decision of the region's leaders, who decided to name the park, formerly called Lakeside Park Pavilion .
If the park's old name isn't unfamiliar to you, it might be because "Lakeside Park" is a song by Rush from their 1975 album, Caress of Steel , which features lyrics about the park and the region where Peart grew up. This only contributed to renaming the place after the drummer. Now that's a tribute, isn't it?
