The Canadian trio made history in Progressive Rock
In an interview with The Global And Mail , Alex Lifeson, guitarist for Rush, said that the band is "basically over."
Rush hasn't toured since 2015, when drummer Neil Peart stated he preferred to stop playing due to health problems that prevented him from having the same ability as before.
The band was active for 41 years and sold over 40 million copies. They earned 24 Gold records, 14 Platinum records, 3 Multi-Platinum records, 12 Juno Awards, and numerous Grammy nominations.
Icons of Progressive Rock, Rush came to Brazil for the first time in 2002, where they recorded the DVD "Rush In Rio".
