British producer, composer and musician Rupert Hine has died at the age of 72, confirmed by English composers.
Hine worked with names like Rush , Tina Turner , Stevie Nicks of Fleetwood Mac , The Fixx , Howard Jones , among many others. The Ivors Academy , one of the largest music associations in the country, wrote about the musician's death , "Rupert played an essential role in the formation of the organization, and his passion, wisdom, inspiration and immense kindness will be immensely missed."
Howard Jones, for his part, also took to social media to say goodbye to the producer, “An extraordinary man and one of my dearest longtime friends, my mentor and music producer, passed away in the early hours of this morning. I am fortunate to have spent a precious hour with him on Tuesday.”
The cause of Robert Hine's death has not been released. Rest in peace, Robert.
