Run for the Hills: Trio from Curitiba releases music video for "Suffocation"

The song is the first single from an EP that should be released later in 2022

"Suffering from voices from beyond." Based on the idea of voices in the head, the concept of the new music video by the Curitiba-based band Corram para as Colinas shows the trio playing in a desolate, dark, and infernal location, as if representing the character's head, which gradually reveals itself throughout the abstract story portrayed in the video.

Against this backdrop, the band presents a dense and dark aesthetic, with a more cinematic and less obvious language, while showcasing the members playing viscerally in this setting.

The direction and photography were handled by Gabriel Lunardi , who had previously worked with the musicians on the music video for the single "Dilúvio" (2019). The band members themselves also worked on the artistic production of the set, which was 100% raw and was transformed to represent the idealized environment in the best "do it yourself" style, which is not always by choice, but rather due to the difficulty of raising capital for production, as is the case in most underground ventures.

Corram para as Colinas is formed by Gustavo Slomp (bass and vocals), Marcio D'Avila (guitar and vocals) and Andre Wlodarczyk (drums). In 2016, the band released their first and so far only album, Desalmado (Do Boquera Até o Largo) . “Sufoco” is the first single from an EP that should be released sometime in 2022.
