South African band Ruff Majik released a new single today, the 25th, titled "Lead Pills and Thrills," which will be part of their new album, The Devil's Cattle , arriving on October 30th via Mongrel Records.
The track, which deals with the somewhat paralyzing addiction to love and alcohol, comes with a music video that's a continuation of the animation from the last single, "Who Keeps Score ," and features production and storytelling worthy of B-movie horror films. " Jimmy [Glass] and I are both in the desert, being chased by zombies. Evert [Snyman] has been taken hostage by a horde of zombies to be the pianist at their bar – and we set out to rescue him. Once there, we discover we've fallen into a poorly planned trap," says vocalist and guitarist Johni Holiday .
Besides Holiday, Ruff Majik consists of Evert Snyman (vocals), Cowboy Van (guitar, bass, backing vocals and keyboards), Jimmy Glass (bass and guitar) and Benni Manchino (drums and percussion).
