Rudolf Schenker comments on the possibility of a 60th anniversary tour for the Scorpions.

The band will celebrate its 60th anniversary in 2025.

Rudolf Schenker, founder and leader of the Scorpions , is planning to return to the road with the band in 2025 to celebrate the group's 60th anniversary.

Asked about a possible retirement, Schenker, 75, told Tales From The Road : “It’s not an endless road. The road will be completed sooner or later; it depends on you and our gods.”

He continued: “But in 2025, that could be a great time for our 60th anniversary (…) I’m in touch with our former drummer [ Wolfgang Dziony ], who was playing on [Scorpions’ 1971 debut album] Lonesome Crow .”

The Scorpions played a series of European festivals and arena shows during the summer, and came to South America as part of their Rock Believer World Tour, performing at Monsters of Rock in São Paulo in April of this year.
