Roy Khan left Kamelot in 2011.

“For All” is the first work by vocalist Roy Khan, seven years after leaving Kamelot. The track was written by Roy and recorded at Stable Studios in Norway. In addition to singing, Roy plays piano, and the song features Leif Johansen on bass and Geir Olav Akselsen on guitar.

Roy announced his departure from Kamelot in April 2011, after taking months off due to a stress-related crisis. At the time, he released the message, “I told the guys in the band last fall (well after my burnout) that I was leaving the band. Naturally, they were shocked (as was the record label and everyone who works with Kamelot). Besides the risk of falling ticket sales, they wanted to give me time to think things over, and so I did. My decision remains the same.”

In 2012, Kamelot officially announced their new vocalist, Tommy Karevik. The band's new album, The Shadow Theory , will be released this Friday, April 6th. Read more here .
