The Rolling Stones had to cancel several shows after lead singer Mick Jagger underwent heart surgery, but it seems that this hasn't stopped the group from continuing to work.

Ronnie Wood , the band's legendary guitarist, spoke to The Sun and revealed that the plan is to release new music in 2020 and go on a world tour: "The new album is like a puzzle, we still have to put together the missing pieces."

This would be the Stones' twenty-fourth British and twenty-sixth American album, and their first album of new material since A Bigger Bang. Their last release is Blue and Lonesome , a covers album released in 2016.
