Ronnie Wood , a member of the Rolling Stones , is preparing to release a live album in tribute to Jimmy Reed with his band. The project is called Mr Luck – A Tribute to Jimmy Reed: Live at the Royal Albert Hall and contains 18 tracks from the band's performance in November 2013.
The album's release date is set for September 17th, but while we wait, The Ronnie Wood Band has released audio snippets of the tracks "Shame, Shame, Shame" and the instrumental "Roll And Rhumba." Check them out below.
The project, spearheaded by Ronnie Wood, pays homage to one of the Rolling Stones' greatest guitar heroes. In a statement, Wood spoke about the legendary blues musician: “Jimmy Reed was one of the main influences on the Rolling Stones and all bands that love American blues from that era to the present day. It is an honor to have the opportunity to celebrate his life and legacy with this tribute.”
