Ronnies James Dio 's official autobiography , Rainbow In The Dark: The Autobiography , has finally had its official release date and cover revealed to fans, and will arrive on July 27th via Permuted Press.
“Ronnie had written half of it, and [journalist and longtime friend] Mick Wall I got together and found a lot of interviews, so I still wanted it to be Ronnie’s voice. I’m very happy with that,” Wendy Dio about the work.
“Everything Ronnie did, lyrics or anything, was always handwritten,” Wendy shared with VH1 Classic Rock Nights in 2010. “He didn’t do anything on the computer. So he would write by hand and then hand it to me and then I would give it to my assistant, and she would type it up. So that’s how it was and, of course, I read it along the way and it’s very, very interesting. It’s just interesting how his stories are; he was a storyteller. Ronnie was always a storyteller and they’re just great stories.”
