Ron Delsener , the legendary concert promoter, is the subject of a documentary featuring rock stars such as Billy Joel , Patti Smith , Jon Bon Jovi , Verdine White , Cher , Steve Van Zandt and many other renowned musicians.

The premiere took place at the 2023 Tribeca Film Festival in New York a few years ago. Now, Abramorama will premiere the documentary, directed by Jake Sumner, Ron Delsener Presents, which will arrive in select theaters on May 30th in the US.

Boasting a 60-year career, the concert promoter and businessman is responsible for major events in New York City, most notably including David Bowie at Carnegie Hall, the Beatles at Forest Hills Tennis Stadium, and Patti Smith at the Palladium.

In the trailer, you can see some cameos, such as Bruce Springsteen, who said: “Every time you went to New York, you knew you were going to see Ron Delsener. This guy is here, he treats us like a king.”

And Paul Simon said: "Ron Delsener was omnipresent and New York was his city."

In a press release, director Jake Sumner commented: “As I’ve heard it said, to understand the present, we must look to the past. Ron Delsener Presents is not just a biography, nor a purely historical document. It’s a patchwork of stories and moments, the highs and lows, complemented by other iconic voices from the world of music. Set against the backdrop of some of the greatest live performances of all time.”
