Rolling Stones launch historic show in Copacabana after 15 years.

A free concert held in 2006 drew over 1 million fans to a beach in Rio de Janeiro.

The Rolling Stones have announced the release of their historic 2006 concert on Copacabana beach in Rio de Janeiro. The complete footage has never been made available before.

A Bigger Bang tour , was free and had an audience of over one million people. The performance featured opening acts by Titãs , DJ Marcelo Janot , and the AfroReggae group .

Titled A Bigger Bang: Live On Copacabana Beach , the material has been remixed, re-edited, and remastered for this new version. The show will be released on vinyl, CD, DVD, and Blu-ray on July 9th, and pre-orders are already sold out on the band's website.

On May 28th, the group will release a digital EP with five tracks from the show: “Sympathy for the Devil”, “Wild Horses”, “You Got Me Rocking”, “Happy” and “Rough Justice”. The British band will also release a limited edition ten-inch vinyl record with versions of “Rain Fall Down”, recorded live in Copacabana, and “Rough Justice”, recorded in Salt Lake City, as part of Record Store Day on June 12th.
