The Rolling Stones No Filter Tour is expected to proceed as scheduled following the death of Charlie Watts , according to The Sun. The drummer died last Tuesday, the 24th, at the age of 80.
The British newspaper heard from a music industry insider about the band's decision. "They want to celebrate [Charlie Watts'] life at the show. He was like a brother, but they know he would hate the idea of the band canceling shows," the insider said. "Charlie gave his blessing to continue the tour after the surgery, so they will honor his wishes."
A few weeks before the drummer's death, Watts had withdrawn from the tour on medical advice and was replaced by Steve Jordan , who is expected to continue in the position for the upcoming shows.
If the band's schedule remains the same, The Rolling Stones will return to the stage just over a month after the drummer's death on September 28th. For now, the band's official website is offline, displaying only a photo of Watts, but the group had previously announced dates up to November of this year.
