The Rolling Stones have announced they will release a deluxe edition of Let It Bleed to commemorate the album's 50th anniversary. The box set will include remastered versions and exclusive band merchandise and is expected to be released in November of this year.
This will be the second remastered version of the album. "When we did the first remastered version of Let It Bleed in 2002, our intention was to pay homage to the original work," said Bob Ludwig , who was responsible for the remastering.
The box set will include two LPs and two CDs, as well as the singles "Honky Tonk Women" and "You Can't Always Get What You Want." In addition, the edition will feature a poster, lithographs, and an 80-page book with previously unreleased photos and an article by American journalist David Fricke .
Let It Bleed was originally released in 1969 and marked the band's last work with all the original members. Guitarist and founder Brian Jones died that same year.
