Waters used a private jet and paid for the costs to reunite mother and children
Roger Waters , of Pink Floyd , used his private jet to reunite with a mother and her children who had been kidnapped.
Felicia Perkins-Ferreira hadn't seen her children for four years. They were kidnapped by their father and taken to Syria in 2014.
After learning the facts, Waters took Perkins-Ferreira to the border between Iraq and Syria to reunite the family.
It is believed that the father died fighting in Raqqa in 2017. The man was part of a jihadist group. According to reports, the stepmother abandoned the children Ayyub and Mahmud on the side of a road after the father's death.
The children were found in a field where a friend of Waters, Clive Stafford-Smith , learned of the events. He stated that “Waters agreed to pay for the flight to bring the mother from Trinidad. We are making sure they have a productive and decent life.”
Perkins-Ferreira thanked Waters and everyone who helped, saying she is “very, very grateful.” She would like to meet everyone to hug them in gratitude.
