Roger Waters , former bassist of Pink Floyd , published the notes that journalist Mark Blake wrote especially for the reissue of Animals , the 1977 album, which, according to him, were rejected by guitarist David Gilmour.

The new version of Animals includes new 5.1 mixes of the album's iconic songs, which had been held back due to issues with the liner notes. According to Waters, Gilmour was "censoring" the words Mark Blake wrote for the edition, telling the story of the album.

According to Waters, his former colleague refused to release the work while Blake's words remained, which, according to the bassist, seems to be "a small part of an ongoing campaign by Gilmour/Samson to get Dave more credit for the work he did in Pink Floyd, from 1967 to 1985, than he should."

In a post on his website, Roger Waters took the opportunity to declare that his former colleague is "a very good guitarist and vocalist," but that he has been "telling some lies for the last 35 years about who did what in Pink Floyd" while Roger was still "in charge."

He concludes by apologizing to Blake and accusing David Gilmour of having "banned" him from Pink Floyd's official Facebook page. The dispute is the same one from May of last year , when he released a new version of the song "Mother" and was unable to publish it on Pink Floyd's social media.
