Roger Moreira , lead singer of Ultraje a Rigor , responded to a comment on social media stating that there is "good right-wing rock."

Last Monday, the 1st, a user on the social network X declared that "no good rock is right-wing". Roger then reposted the comment and wrote: " Ramones, Elvis, Raimundos, Metallica . Just to name a few." Meanwhile, in the comments, other internet users defended artists like Kid Rock and Ted Nugent , who are aligned with the right. [via Rock Bizz ]

Internet users also took the opportunity to criticize Ultraje a Rigor, saying "bad rock is only from Ultraje a Rigor! It's crap." While others challenged Roger, stating that groups like the Ramones never had a right-wing alignment.

The statement reignites the debate about politics and music in Brazil, especially at a time when polarized political identities are reflected in cultural consumption. In his post, Roger states that he believes in the legitimacy of a conservative trend in rock and suggests that ideological labels should not artistically invalidate genres or bands.
