The musician will be accompanied by several orchestras.

Roger Daltrey, vocalist and founder of The Who, has announced a series of concerts in the United States where he will perform the album Tommy in its entirety.

The singer will be joined by a local orchestra in each city he visits on his tour to perform the classic 1969 album.

“I’m very excited to sing Tommy, not only with my backing vocal team but also with the best orchestras in the country ,” he said in a press statement. “Pete Townshend’s rock is perfect for an orchestra. With arrangements written by David Campbell, the shows should become unforgettable nights for everyone who loves art.”

The tour will travel through ten American cities and will last for a month. At each stop, Daltrey will be accompanied by Simon Townshend (guitar and backing vocals), Frank Simes (guitar), Loren Gold (keyboards), Jon Button (bass) and Scott Devour (drums), as well as local orchestras such as the Boston Pops Orchestra and the Detroit Symphony Orchestra.

In addition to his tour, Daltrey will release his highly anticipated autobiography and his first solo album in 26 years.
