In September, Rock in Rio is finally back! With seven days of events, the festival brings big names in world music to Brazil, with various rock and metal acts across different stages.
The weeks before and after the festival are usually hectic for fans, as many take the opportunity to perform shows in São Paulo and other cities across the country around the same time.
See below which international rock and metal bands from Rock In Rio will also be performing in São Paulo.
Dream Theater
Rock in Rio show: September 2nd (Friday), on the World Stage.
São Paulo show: October 31st (Wednesday).
Other shows in Brazil: None.
Dream Theater will only play two shows in Brazil this year: first, the band will perform in São Paulo, at the Anhembi Pavilion, with the Top of The World , on August 31st ( find out how to buy tickets here ), followed by Metal Day at Rock In Rio.
bullet for My Valentine
Rock in Rio show: September 2nd (Friday), on the Sunset Stage.
São Paulo show: September 3rd (Saturday).
Other shows in Brazil: None.
Bullet For My Valentine will also only play one solo show in Brazil: the day after Rock In Rio, the band will perform at Audio Club in São Paulo, promoting their self-titled album, released in 2021. Find out more about tickets here .
Iron Maiden
Rock in Rio show: September 2nd (Friday), on the World Stage.
São Paulo show: September 4th (Sunday).
Other shows in Brazil: Curitiba and Ribeirão Preto ( in August).
Iron Maiden's " The Legacy of the Beast " tour an updated setlist featuring songs from the album Senjutsu . There will be four shows in the country: in Curitiba, at Pedreira Leminski, on August 27th; at Arena Eurobike in Ribeirão Preto, on August 30th; and at Rock in Rio and São Paulo, on September 4th, at Morumbi Stadium. Billy Idol
Rock in Rio show: September 9th (Friday), on the World Stage.
São Paulo show: September 8th (Thursday).

Billy Idol is coming to Brazil for the second time in his career for two performances, starting with a show in São Paulo at the Anhembi Pavilion, the day before his Rock in Rio performance. Tickets are on sale through Tickets For Fun .
Maneskin
Rock in Rio show: September 8th (Thursday), on the World Stage.
São Paulo show: September 9th (Friday).
Other shows in Brazil: None.
The Italian hard rock phenomenon will play their first shows in Brazil in September. Maneskin's first stop is Rock In Rio, with a show in São Paulo the following day at Espaço das Américas. More information about tickets here .
Guns N' Roses
Rock in Rio show: September 8th (Thursday), on the World Stage.
São Paulo show: September 24th (Saturday).
Other shows in Brazil: Recife, Goiânia, Belo Horizonte, Ribeirão Preto, Florianópolis, Curitiba, Porto Alegre and Manaus ( between September and October ).
Guns N' Roses will bring their current tour to nine Brazilian cities in 2022, not counting their performance at Rock In Rio. The band begins the series of shows in Manaus on the first day of September, followed by Recife (September 4th), Goiânia (September 11th), Belo Horizonte (September 13th), Ribeirão Preto (September 16th), Florianópolis (September 18th), Curitiba (September 21st), São Paulo (September 24th), and will finish in Porto Alegre (September 26th).
