Rock in Rio announces dates for the 2021 edition

There's still no news about the lineup, but fans are hoping to see Iron Maiden and Queen

The organizers of Rock in Rio have announced the dates for its 2021 edition. The festival is scheduled for September 24, 25, 26, and 30, and October 1, 2, and 3 at Cidade do Rock, in the West Zone of Rio de Janeiro.

Information regarding ticket sales and the festival schedule has not yet been released. "The festival organizers are confident in the reestablishment of health-related issues and the resumption of socio-cultural activities. Regarding the protocols to be adopted, the festival reiterates that it will rigorously follow the determinations of the competent national and international bodies, offering all the necessary security within the City of Rock," the organization said in a press release.

“We believe in the importance of joy for the well-being of human beings and society, and as an essential fuel for building a promising future. Culture and entertainment are privileged tools for promoting such moments,” said Roberto Medina , president of Rock in Rio, in a statement.

The 2021 event will be inspired by the theme "Let life begin now, let the world be ours again." According to the organizers, this edition will feature some exclusive performances to make the event "more special and unique.".
