The City of Rock opened its gates for the first weekend of Rock in Rio 2026.After Rock Day, last Friday, the 4th, with Foo Fighters, Rise Against, The HIVES and Nova Twins, Brazilian metal gained its well-deserved spotlight at the festival.
Metal Day took place last Saturday, September 5th, with Supercombo, Lvcas, MC Taya , and Zero on the Supernova Stage, and Korzus, Noturnall + Russell Allen, and Rhegia on the Global Village Stage . The headliner of the day was Avenged Sevenfold , with Bring Me The Horizon , Machine Gun Kelly , and Sepultura performing on the World Stage. On the Sunset Stage, the acts were Bad Omens, Poppy, Black Pantera, Nervosa, and Day Limns .
