Contrary to predictions of postponement , Rock In Rio has just shared a statement on its official social media channels declaring that the 2021 edition of the country's most important festival is still on.
The statement contradicts the note published last week in the Rio newspaper which said, "The organization is monitoring all government decisions and scenarios, evaluating the conditions so that, this year, it can be held without jeopardizing everyone's health."
The statement also says that it sees great hope in the vaccines available in the country, and therefore hopes that the event will take place this year, from September 24th to October 3rd. "It will be a time of great celebration and the resumption of the world as ours again," the letter says.
