Point do Rock , a well-known festival in Bahia, will take place next weekend in Vitória da Conquista, in the interior of Bahia. The event, which has existed since the early 2000s, is known for boosting the rock and metal scene in the region.

After a few years' hiatus, the festival returned in 2019 with a diverse offering. In addition to the concerts, previous editions included flash tattoos and a food court, expanding the experience for the target audience.

This year, the Point do Rock features a stellar lineup of 10 acts. Highlights include the iconic Ratos de Porão and Matanza Ritual , who have previously performed in the city. In addition to national bands, the event also showcases the local scene, including bands like Cama de Jornal from Vitória da Conquista, active for over 20 years.

In 2024, the festival brought together more than 3,000 people over two days and featured 12 acts. This year's event takes place on March 15th and 16th, and the entrance fee remains social: 1kg of non-perishable food. Last year, this initiative raised more than 6,000 kg of food, destined for institutions and projects such as Bahia Sem Fome and Alimenta Conquista .

According to the production team, maintaining the social admission option serves two purposes. In addition to helping vulnerable families, the format broadens access for those who would not otherwise be able to afford a ticket.

For this edition, the expectation is to attract around 4,000 people and collect more than 4 tons of food. Point do Rock is sponsored by the Government of Bahia, through Bahia Gás and Sofotur , in addition to the support of state politicians.
