The ceremony inducting artists into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame has been postponed due to the coronavirus. The event was scheduled to take place on May 2nd at Cleveland's Public Hall in Ohio.
“We are very disappointed to announce the postponement of this year’s Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony,” said Hall President Joel Peresman in a statement to the press. “Our primary concern is the health and safety of our guests and performers (…) As soon as we have a new date for the event, we will let you know.”
In this edition, the Hall of Fame will induct the artists Nine Inch Nails, Depeche Mode, the Doobie Brothers, Whitney Houston, T-Rex , and Notorious BIG.
There are currently only four confirmed cases of coronavirus in the state of Ohio, but authorities are working to limit the spread of COVID-19, and Governor Mike DeWine is planning an order to ban gatherings.
