The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame today announced the list of nominees for the 2016 ceremony. Check out the list:

– Cheap Trick

– The Cars
– Steve Miller
– Chicago
– Los Lobos
– Janet Jackson
– NWA
– The Smiths
– Chaka Khan
– Chic
– The J.B’s
– The Spinners
Fans can vote on the official Rock and Roll Hall of Fame website, and the 5 bands with the most votes will be "the fans' choice," which, along with 600 other choices from musicians, critics, and journalists, will determine the final list of bands that will actually enter the Hall of Fame in 2016. The top 5 will be revealed in December.
Last year, the artists who won awards were Ringo Starr, Bill Withers, Lou Reed, Paul Butterfield Blues Band, Green Day, Stevie Ray Vaughan, The “5” Royales, and Joan Jett and The Blackhearts.
