Green Day, Nine Inch Nails, and Joan Jett are among the nominees.

The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame announced this week the nominees for this year's induction. Nine Inch Nails, Green Day, Joan Jett & the Blackhearts, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Lou Reed, The Smiths, Bill Withers, Sting, the Spinners, War, NWA, Kraftwerk, the Marvelettes, the Paul Butterfield Blues Band, and Chic are the nominated bands.

Fans can vote on the official Rock and Roll Hall of Fame website, and the 5 bands with the most votes will be "the fans' choice," which, along with 600 other choices from musicians, critics, and journalists, will determine the final list of bands that will actually enter the Hall of Fame in 2015.

Currently, Stevie Ray Vaughan leads the votes with 17.23%. In second and third place are Nine Inch Nails and Green Day, with 14.47% and 13.54% respectively.
