The iconic Rock & Roll Hall of Fame has announced the official location and date for its 2021 induction ceremony.
The event will take place on October 30, 2021, returning to the city of Cleveland, in the American state of Ohio, and for the first time, will be held at the Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse.
This year's nominees in rock and metal include names like Iron Maiden , Foo Fighters , Rage Against The Machine , and the New York Dolls . If Foo Fighters wins the nomination, frontman Dave Grohl will be inducted into the Hall of Fame for the second time, considering Nirvana was inducted in 2014. The winners will be announced in May and will participate in the event in October.
The event is facing some controversy, including the resurfacing of a controversial statement by Maiden frontman Bruce Dickinson , who spoke harshly about the ceremony and its organizers , and recently receiving Dee Snider of Twisted Sister .
