The German festivals Rock Am Ring and Rock Im Park have announced the initial lineup for the 2022 edition. It is scheduled to take place simultaneously in Nürburg and Nuremberg, respectively, between June 3rd and 5th of next year.
The 2022 editions will take place after the 2020 events were cancelled due to the pandemic. The 2021 lineup had been announced, but it also had to be cancelled afterwards. Some acts were kept and others were not.
Green Day and Volbeat are among the 2021 headliners who have remained for next year's edition, while the third headliner, System of a Down , had to cancel their appearance. The lineup also includes August Burns Red, Billy Talent, Black Veil Brides, Boston Manor, Bush, Daughtry, Ice Nine Kills, Korn, Of Mice and Men, Stick to Your Guns, The Distillers, The Offspring, and Weezer.
