Robert Trujillo revealed in an interview with Rocket Beans TV his favorite Metallica . The bassist was asked which album by the group he would listen to for the rest of his life.
“Well, I’m going to take 72 Seasons (2023) out of the equation now because that’s not fair, because that would be the album I’d choose right now. But I have to say, it’s difficult. I’m going with Master Of Puppets (1986). I feel like Master Of Puppets has a lot of everything. It has instrumentals, great sequences, great riffs. It has one of my favorite Metallica songs, and that song is 'Disposable Heroes'. So, whenever I can listen to that particular song, count me in. 'Battery' is an incredible song. So it has everything I love about Metallica,” the musician said (transcription via Loudwire ).
The winning album, produced by Flemming Rasmussen , was the band's third album and the last with the late Cliff Burton .
The recently released and almost-selected 72 Seasons marked Robert Trujillo's debut on vocals .
Recently, guitarist Kirk Hammett chose Master Of Puppets as Metallica's best project .
