The rumors about the cancellation of the first Sick Bastard Social Fest in São Paulo have been confirmed. The event, which was scheduled for November 17th at Espaço das Américas, will no longer take place.

The festival would be held in partnership with the 89 FM radio station's anniversary party and would feature Infectious Grooves , a Californian funk-rock and metal band, as the main attraction.

The band would have included Mike Muir ( Suicidal Tendencies ), Robert Trujillo ( Metallica ), Jim Martin (ex- Faith No More ), Brooks Wackerman ( Avenged Sevenfold , ex- Bad Religion ), and Dean Pleasants (Suicidal Tendencies).

In addition to Infectious Grooves, the Sick Bastard Social Fest had also previously announced Pitty , Planet Hemp , Ego Kill Talent , Violet Soda , and Skindred .

In a statement, the event agency officially announced:

"We regret to inform you that the Sick Bastards Social Fest event, which was scheduled for November 17th at Espaço das Américas, has been cancelled due to logistical and operational issues.".
