Robert Plant wants people to stop asking him about retirement.

The artist is inspired by what he can still learn and what he can achieve.

Robert Plant , who celebrated his 73rd birthday earlier this year, is still far from retiring. While most men his age spend their days indulging in countless rounds of golf or cruises, Plant has revealed that he has other things on his mind.

In recent years, fans and journalists have wondered when the legendary artist plans to retire. But based on the fact that Plant has just released a new album with American bluegrass Alison Krauss , it doesn't seem like he's slowing down anytime soon.

“People used to say to me, ‘Well, you must have done enough by now?’”, he said in a recent interview with the Telegraph . “Enough for what, for fuck’s sake? To retire!’”

According to Robert Plant, working as a musician is a "lifelong job" that he enjoys too much to give up. Furthermore, he believes he can learn much more about the role. He continues: "So imagine the blessing of being 40 years further down the road, and still not knowing enough to stop in any aspect."

"There's always something new to learn, some new place to take. I love that," she added.

Next year, Plant and Krauss are scheduled to embark on a global tour to promote their second studio album, Raise The Roof . The tour will begin on June 1st in Canandaigua, NY, and end on July 20th in Berlin, Germany.
