Robert Plant performed “Immigrant Song” for the first time in 23 years last week during the Secret Solstice festival in Iceland. According to the Led Zeppelin News , the singer hadn't included the song in his set since 1996 when he performed in Japan.

Rumors among fans suggest that Plant chose this show to play the classic Led Zeppelin because the song was inspired by the group's trip to Iceland in 1970. "We were invited by the government for a cultural mission," the vocalist told Chris Welch in the book Led Zeppelin Dazed and Confused.

“We were called to play a show there, and the day before, public employees went on strike, causing the show to be canceled.” Plant further explains that a college organized a show on campus, and “it was amazing.”
