In an episode of the show A Life on the Road , Brian Johnson traveled to Wales to meet Robert Plant . There, the Led Zeppelin showed the musician, who is also the presenter, where the group recorded the album Led Zeppelin III .

Walking through the place, he recalls: “We rented the chalet I used to go to as a kid. We started writing the album here and it was great, because it was far away from all the chaos of touring.”

After discussing the recording of the album, Plant commented on the band's influences, citing Cream and Grateful Dead . "There was a subculture growing, and we ended up clinging to it. We didn't have a message to give because we weren't visionaries in that way."
