Robb Flynn: Drive-in shows are "the stupidest thing I've ever seen"

The Machine Head frontman said he was willing to wait for everything to return to normal.

While the world tries to adapt to the new reality of social distancing, artists have been experimenting with drive-in concerts, like the queen of metal Doro in Germany , but not everyone is enjoying it.

In an interview with Kerrang!, frontman Robb Flynn said he attended a drive-in concert and didn't like it: "It was the stupidest thing I've ever seen." He went on to say that if cover bands want to adopt the practice, that's fine, because "they should have fun."

For Machine Head, Flynn believes the energy source of the show comes from “five thousand fans screaming every word, crushed against the barrier, sweating and forming various mosh pits.” The vocalist admits he knows that shows like they used to be will take a long time to return, but he is willing to wait for other options, even if it takes another two years, his estimate.

So, would you go to a drive-in concert?
