Last Wednesday, the 30th, it was announced that Matt Montgomery , also known as Piggy D. Rob Zombie 's band after 18 years in the group. Montgomery, who joined Zombie's band in 2006 replacing Rob "Blasko" Nicholson , shared the news via social media, according to BraveWords .
“Dear friends. My time with Zombie has come to an end. It has been an honor to entertain you for the last 18 years. I look forward to the future and wish you all the best. Peace & Love, Matt Montgomery aka Count D., Piggy D., laughs.”, wrote Piggy D. in his post (via BraveWords ).
Later that same day, Blasko 's return to the band on his social media, commenting: "After 18 years, BLASKO has returned to the Zombie horde. Get ready for chaos this summer."
This news came along with the announcement that Rob Zombie and Alice Cooper are returning with the Freaks on Parade 2024 , featuring special guests Ministry and Filter . The tour promises to be terrifying, shocking, full of chills and rock, with 21 stops across the United States.

After joining the band in 2006, Montgomery performed with them for the first time in May of that year, during an appearance on CBS 's Late Night Show with David Letterman .
Montgomery played bass on the studio albums Hellbilly Deluxe 2 (2010), Venomous Rat Regeneration Vendor (2013), The Electric Warlock Acid Witch Satanic Orgy Celebration Dispenser (2016) , and The Lunar Injection Kool Aid Eclipse Conspiracy (2021) .
Alongside his work with Zombie , Piggy D. has also collaborated with Alice Cooper , John 5 , and Wednesday 13. He has also released solo music and is a member of the band The Haxans , along with New Years Day Ash Costello .
